Note by Grand Duke Friedrich Maik on the civil name Geikler Maik.
I was born Grand Duke Friedrich Maik on 28 March 1969, as you can read in my biography. The real Geikler Maik was born on 1 November 1968 and passed away on 8 March 1969. Since Geikler Maik's parents, who were also my foster parents, had blood group A and blood group B, it is logical that Geikler Maik's and my blood groups cannot be identical, as I have blood group 0. The system installed in the Federal Republic of Germany compels me nonetheless to use the civil name Geikler Maik, even if this name does not reflect my real identity. A court case is currently ongoing in this regard, but has not yet been completed. I would therefore ask for your understanding if you still read this civil name in the site notice. I am aware that this must be confusing, but it is not something I can currently change without a final court judgement. As a precautionary measure, I have also had the name Geikler Maik (trade mark no. 3020171129894) protected to prevent further misuse.
